Water Theme Art with Glorious Gloria aka Mrs Seddon!

Mrs Seddon is a fabulous art teacher who loved teaching in Te Manga when Whaea Deb was at her Digital Fluency Professional Development Course. She introduced the concept of hot and cold colours to the class using a water theme.

Water Theme
The students had to choose cold colours to represent water and also had to think about light and dark to show depth. Then they had to design their own water pattern. Next they chose hot colour for their koi fish, starting with a simple S the students developed their artwork by adding features and details. They had to focus on light and dark hot colours and patterns.

The students did a fabulous job and their art work is currently being admired on our staff room and admin area walls.
