Seaside Village Art with Glorious Gloria aka Mrs Seddon!

Mrs Seddon is a fabulous art teacher who loved teaching in Te Manga when Whaea Deb was at her Digital Fluency Professional Development Course. She introduced the concept of hot and cold colours to the class using a seaside village concept.

Starting with a freehand drawing of the water using cold colours and patterns, the students developed their artwork by adding simple buildings with patterns if they chose to. Textured sand was added next using light and dark brown pastel and finally everything was outline in black except for the sea.

The students did a marvellous job and their art work is currently being admired on our Te Manga walls.
