It was great to get back to school this week to catch up with everyone and hear all about the holiday fun!
This week we welcomed Whaea Saroya into our class. Saroya is in her third year of her teaching degree through the University of Waikato and will be in class all term.
The class have enjoyed learning about the Olympics this week and following our kiwi athletes as they go for gold. We have enjoyed watching different events live on our smart board. The students are already thinking of how they could compete at the 2032 Olympics in Brisbane!
Today we joined with Te Tinana for our first 'Funday Friday'. We will be working with Te Tinana every Friday this term. Initially we will be learning about film making as Paparore School has the opportunity to enter two films into the Te Hiku film festival. The theme for the movies this year are 'VALUES'. We are going to have a Paparore Film Festival on 2nd September and will select two films to go through to the Te Hiku Film Festival on 16th September.
Check out the 2020 Te Hiku Film Festival highlights!
There is so much to look forward to this term!
