Harry Potter has never even heard of Hogwarts when the letters start dropping on the doormat at number four, Privet Drive. Addressed in green ink on yellowish parchment with a purple seal, they are swiftly confiscated by his grisly aunt and uncle. Then, on Harry's eleventh birthday, a great beetle-eyed giant of a man called Rubeus Hagrid bursts in with some astonishing news: Harry Potter is a wizard, and he has a place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. An incredible adventure is about to begin!
Our class have been reading 'Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone' this term and have thoroughly enjoyed it. Every day after lunch the students have looked forward to finding out what will happen next with much enthusiam! There was so much to love about this book, we decided to have a Harry Potter Dress Up Day.
Our classroom became Hogwarts and the students became witches and wizards for the day. The class made Hogwarts Student ID cards, wordfinds and wands plus we finished our book and watched the movie (with pop corn and treats). It was a magical day and a wonderful end to the term.
It was really fun coming to school dressed like that
ReplyDeleteMy favourite part was the wand making but I thought it was the best day
