Tuesday is Our Sharing Day - Tuva-Lisa and Zion

Every Tuesday the students have a chance to share something with the class. This can be anything that they like. It is a great way for the class to find out something about each student and also to practice oral language skills.

Zion is a keen fisherman and today he shared a framed news clipping about a fishing experience he had when he was 5. Zion caught an 18 pound snapper using a sprat fishing line when he was out fishing with his dad Eru. Zion said the fish was so big that the rod bent right into the water and it didn't even fit in their chilly bin. Zion definitely has a lot of wonderful fishing stories to share with us. 

Last year, Tuva-Lisa did something amazing, she had a haircut. However it wasn't just any haircut, her hair was sent to an organisation that makes wigs out of real hair for people who need to wear a wig due to illness. Tuva-Lisa told us that one of her dad's friend was very sick and it made her wonder how she could help. She showed us her certificate and letter from the organisation. This was a really wonderful thing to share and she has shown that kindness comes first for Tuva-Lisa.
