On Monday our Prime Minister Jacinda Adern, announced that NZ would be going into lockdown in 48 hours to help stop the spread of Covid-19. I was very proud of the way our class responded to this news. They were positive and thoughtful in their discussion about what was to come. This class are leaders of learning at school and they will be at home too.
Today it is Day 3 of learning from home. I was able to connect with a few students on a google hangout today and I plan to connect with more tomorrow. I have seen lots of different examples of learning happening both online and offline which is great to see.
Here are a few examples of what students have been doing at home:
ALANI's WRITING:
Covid 19 is a sort of bug that can get into your lungs. If the Coronavirus touch’s your hands it’s ok because it doesn't want to get into your hands, it just wants to get into your lungs. It can get into your lungs by touching, putting your hands in your mouth, picking nose or rubbing your eyes.
By washing your hand with soap in every spot you can stop the spread of Coronavirus.
Covid 19 is a little bug that you cant see.
