A trail of tractors arrived at Paparore School last Friday with a woman named Cat Levine. This was the Big Feelings Tractor Trek! Cat talked to the students about BIG FEELINGS using her own childhood experiences. She talked to the students about different sorts of feelings and they each received a mood cube. Cat said giving young people the tools, as early as possible, to name their feelings and talk about them with a trusted adult made the issues smaller and less overwhelming.
Our class loved having Cat and the tractors at school.

Last Friday some people came to Paparore School with gigantic tractors and an army truck. There was an awesome lime green tractor that was big as an elephant, that was my favorite one. We could climb on the wheels and people took photos of us. All of the tamariki loved it. I thought it was amazing. I heard a lot of yelling and people screaming this is so cool I thought it was definitely. There were about six of them! After that we slowly walked into the hall while we were walking we were watching the tractors leave. They started the tractors and didn’t leave while we were watching them. It was spectacular.

Last Friday the big feelings tour came to Paparore school. Lots of tractors came to. There was a lady called Cat who did the awesome big feelings show. She explained her past in a great show. She showed us the lonely sadness Cat had back then and how it grew and grew. She got Tame, Carlie, and Millan up on stage. The teachers picked them. Tame got into a skeleton suit, Charlie had a mask and Millan had girl glasses. They were the three brains thinking brain, emotions brain and reflex brain. Cat though a hammer at us but it turned out to be fake. At the end she gave us a great thing called a mood cube. It shows our emotions which are Sadness, madness, happiness and nervousness.
