Tapawha - Adding Tidy Numbers

Tapawha have been working hard in their math sessions to make number bonds to 10, number bonds to 100 and to add tidy numbers. Click on this link to check out our learning on our class site

Today the group discussed why math is so important in our everyday lives, then they had to prove their understanding of adding tidy numbers. They were able to add 2 digit tidy numbers and explain their strategy. Most of the group used counting on in 10's from the highest number to solve each equation. They were very pleased with themselves.

The students were very excited to be moving onto learning the place value strategy next!
