Our Class Caterpillars
Jesse and Dan's Mum kindly brought in swan plants and caterpillars to allow our class to watch the amazing metamorphic change of the caterpillar to a butterfly. Janine has brought in food for the caterpillars each day as they munch their way through a huge amount of leaves! We can't believe how big they have become, how much they eat and HOW MUCH THEY POOP!
We got our first chrysalis today which is very exciting.
The first picture happened this morning when we first got to school. The second picture happened at 3.15pm and the full chrysalis was formed by 4pm. AMAZING!
Yes that is poo at the bottom of the container. It needs to be cleaned out by a lucky class member each morning!

Fun Day - Kaitaia Pools
Last Thursday we had a super awesome day at the Kaitaia Pools. The students enjoyed all seasons in one day finished off with bombing in the dive pool, a sausage sizzle, ice block and Easter Eggs back at school. What a lovely way to celebrate a fantastic 9 weeks of learning!
