The Lion King - Te Ahu - Kaitaia

Last term we had an Out of Africa disco to raise money for our 3 junior and 2 middle school classes to go to the movies to watch The Lion King. We have been counting down the day and the day FINALLY arrived!

A busload of very excited kids from Te Manga and Te Tinana headed into town this morning to the Te Ahu Centre to watch the movie. They were so excited, they gathered in their popcorn and drinks, remembered their lovely manners and showed their wonderful Paparore School values the entire time.

This was a movie event that will be always remembered. We're already looking forward to the next one!

A huge thanks to the Te Ahu Cinema, our staff and whanau for making this fabulous EOTC event possible.

Home Learning Rewards with Te Tinana

Today the students had the chance to relax and play as part of our home learning rewards afternoon with Te Tinana. Our Te Manga kids had a fabulous time catching up with old friends and reminiscing about their lovely classroom from last year. The kids chose to do a variety of activities including origami, lego, big blocks, car tracks, Mathletics, Reading Eggspress, colouring, drawing and building with all sorts of materials.

A huge thanks to Mrs Stevenson and the lovely Te Tinana kids for being such wonderful hosts!
